The Pier was fortunate enough to get in touch with a few of the participating bands, and here is what they had to say about 2012’s Wildfire Reggae and Arts Festival!

“Yeah man we are really stoked. It’s going to be our first time really playing a big show outside of our area. We were honored to be selected for such an awesome event! 2012 is going to be a big year for us and we hope to be playing shows all over the country.”Jeff McCaughey, singer for Kings & Comrades

“We are stoked to be a part of Wildfire Reggae & Arts Festival this year. This will be our third year playing and the line up gets better every time. Wildfire, we feel, is the only festival during SXSW that represents and caters to our genre. Episode Phive has managed to stick to his guns and pull off an event driven solely by passion for the reggae/arts community and tenacious perseverance. WR&AF will easily turn into the next Warped Tour or Coachella- We’re just excited to be a part of history in the making!”Gabriel Solorzano of Fayuca
