The South By Southwest Music and Arts Festival (SXSW) is already huge, just like the saying goes in Texas! The reggae friendly musical home within SXSW is the Wildfire Music and Arts Festival in Austin, TX, and the lineup just got even bigger! Find out the official lineup and headliners inside!
With a festival that boasts some of the most talented and up-and-coming artists since the inception in 1987, SXSW will live up to that billing once again in 2013. And the same statement should be attached to the Wildfire Festival lineup, as well. With notable performers already announced like Jamaican dancehall specialist, Don Carlos, Natural Vibrations and Mike Love from Hawai’i, as well as The Expanders and Beyond I Sight from Southern California.
Now, the lineup is official, and has added the last remaining headliners and supporting acts for the three-day festival in March. The most recent additions to the Wildfire lineup included the Jamaican born artist, Gyptian, Marlon Asher, who ha been on tour with Slightly Stoopid this winter, along with countless groups from across the fifty states.
There are not only top-tier headliners already announced, but there are still final lineups and headliners yet to be made public. The talent level is high, but the depth is abundant, as well. Bands like HaleAmanO, Ashes of Babylon, T.U.G.G., Jet West and others have shared the stage with top shelf performers at other regional music festivals, respectively.
As the final artists confirmed for the event, this year’s Wildfire Festival will undoubtedly be the most successful yet. The talent level present in Austin will nearly force fans to flock to the gates of the infamous South By Southwest Festival to check out some of the reggae-rock representatives. As the talent increased, the sponsors and vendors will be prepared for thousands of concertgoers throughout the three-day weekend. If a festival is catering to the reggae market, what better adult beverage to have on hand for fans than Red Stripe, the official sponsor of the 2013 Wildfire Festival? There will be plenty of food and merchandise available through Red Stripe, Rerooted Apparel, The Music Ranch, SJC Custom Drums, Texas Norml
Texas Norml and plenty of other sponsors on site.
