311 to StreamSystem Their First 3 Albums From The Hive Studio

With a global pandemic grounding the touring music scene since March, bands have turned to live-streaming their music online. Add 311 to that list who’s last official performance took place in Las Vegas, NV over their infamous 311 Day Weekend that concluded right at the start of the touring music community shutting down due to Covid-19.

2020 is the year we celebrate 30 years of 311. They were suppose to spend their summer touring with Incubus, but the world had other plans and the band has made an adjustment that they’re moving forward on. Starting November 11, 2020, 311 will play their first official live set in 8 months with a live stream performance of their debut album, 1993’s Music. On December 11th, the band will return with another live performance, this time of 1994’s Grassroots, followed by a January 11th, 2021 live stream performance of their 3rd record, the self-titled better known as 1995’s infamous Blue album.

The shows will be an intimate affair, giving a global audience a previously unavailable view into 311’s Hive studio. Fans can buy shows individually or as a 3 show ticket bundle, or ticket plus merch bundles, including limited-edition event posters, with autograph versions available. The live stream ticket will include a 60 minute pre-show hangout and a post-show open forum with the band after each performance, giving the event a TV-show like format.

Nick Hexum (singer/guitarist) says: “Our Summers are usually out on the road, playing shows and connecting with fans through music. We’ve been home craving that connection and we’ve been watching various streams and have been inspired by the technology. And we’re now ready to present live stream shows of our own at the highest level from our newly upgraded studio. Live Streams are now a part of music, both as a performer and a fan. We all love music too much to sit still, so we’re jumping in with a concert series on our own platform 311StreamSystem. We can’t wait to get back in front of our fans?!”

In light of the challenges 2020 has presented for the touring giant, 311 decided to integrate a broadcast-quality setup into their home-base studio and turn their creativity to a live stream experience. The Hive has now been outfitted with high-quality cameras, lights, sound & visual effects designed in partnership with Notan Creative. The live streams have now been enabled to provide a psychedelic, multi-camera experience in the place where all things 311 happen.

StreamSystem, named for the band’s 1999 album SoundSystem, will continue to be a platform into the future to debut new content and new 311 ideas as these road-warriors explore new avenues for their musical outlet while traditional touring isn’t possible.

Without amphitheaters, theaters and clubs available to host shows, 311 also want to give support to production crews, which have also found themselves out of work during these difficult times. With that said, partial proceeds from the “Live from the Hive” concerts will go towards Crew Nation, a charitable fund created to help support the countless crew members affected by event and concert cancellations in 2020. 311 will also perform 2 drive-in concert shows in Phoenix, AZ on Fri 11/13/20 and Ventura, CA on Sat 11/14/20. There will be 2 shows each night, 5:30pm and 8:30pm. On sale now. For all details, safety measures and ticket options visit ConcertsInYourCar.com
