Joseph 'Jo Mersa' Marley son of Stephen Marley has died at 31.

The Jamaican American reggae artist was allegedly found unresponsive in a vehicle. Although the specifics surrounding his death are unclear, asthma-related conditions have been reported to be the cause.

Jo Mersa spent his early years in Jamaica before he moved to Florida in high school. He studied studio engineering at Miami Dade College.

He began appearing onstage with his father at the age of four. Known for his eclectic stage presence and integration of traditional reggae with modern beats and musical styles, he went on to drop an EP in 2014 called “Comfortable”.
He also released the hit single, “Burn It Down,” in 2016 — and put out a 2nd EP, “Eternal,” last year.

Marley embraced his family’s legacy over the course of his career, speaking out for social justice and advocating for better health and education in his home country.

He will be missed.

We send our condolences to the Marley Family and his loved ones.

Rest In Peace King.
