Demrick Enlists Xzibit for Latest Single ‘Quarter Key’

Los Angeles based emcee Demrick has dropped his latest single “Quarter Key,” featuring a guest appearance by famed rapper Xzibit.

Known for embracing a wide range of influences – including reggae, hip-hop, rap and rock – Demrick again blurs genre lines on “Quarter Key.” Across a sun-soaked backbeat, Demirck and Xzibit trade flows, each one displaying their respective lyrical prowess. Listen to “Quarter Key” below.

During a recent conversation with The Pier, Demrick noted the power of his deeply personal lyrics.

“People tell me a song helped them out of a dark time or got my lyrics tatted on them—that gave me purpose,” he remarked. “I’m expressing how I feel for everybody.”

“Quarter Key” is the fifth single off Demrick’s upcoming September 26th album Ooowee. The musician has a long history with Xzibit – both men are members of the group Serial Killers, along with B-Real of Cypress Hill. Like Xzibit, B-Real also makes an appearance on Ooowee. Other guests include Coyote and K.A.A.N..

Last year Demrick toured the US with Jarren Benton and Locksmith, and Europe with Xzibit, and he’ll be performing at Rhyme Fest this August in Los Angeles.
