When The Pier found out that J Boog was going to be performing back-to-back nights in Denver, Colorado, we didn’t hesitate to attend the shows. On the final night in the Mile High City, J Boog was kind enough to give The Pier a behind the scenes look at what’s in store for the future of J Boog musically.
On Tuesday, November 6th, we will debut our full-length, exclusive interview with J Boog! Some of the highlights from our conversation with the Compton, CA native were the background of his new single titled, “Smoking Bomb Bud”, diving much deeper than just the song title explains. We also took time discussing a time frame for a new album to some of the earliest shows in Long Beach, CA as well as meeting, working and the mentoring process with FIJI. There’s also some collaborations that J Boog has in store for all of his fans! And, that is just scratching the surface of our conversation with J Boog!
One of the big rumors recently, as far as collaborations, involved J Boog and Snoop Dogg, or Snoop Lion, now. The Pier was able to get a concrete answer from J Boog whether those rumors were in fact true, or not. Another name that was brought up was Collie Buddz! The duo recently connected in Oahu at the brand new Wash House Studios, as J Boog told us about the collaboration stating, “Once we all get back from tour we will definitely get back to it. We were already over there at ‘The House’ talking about it and getting some work in, but we will be doing something for the new album, for sure.”
The Pier also dug deeper into the performer’s past, uncovering a few details regarding J Boog’s earliest performances, including J Boog telling us one big difference between the early days singing with his family, and now singing live in front of thousands. “A big difference between then and now was I am not being forced to sing! (Laughs) My mom pretty much kept beating it into me and said, ‘No. You are going to sing for the family reunion!'” The first song J Boog ever sang publicly was Whitney Houston‘s “One Moment In Time”!
J Boog has certainly come a long way in his rapid rise in the music industry. From the early days as a young J Boog to the present day, we discussed it all! So, be sure to comeback NEXT Tuesday, November 6th, and find out the whole story of J Boog!
