In November of 2012, Trinidad and Tobago native Bunji Garlin released his song “Differentology” as his contribution to the 2013 Carnival Season. The song was written and co-produced by Garlin himself and features Nigel Rojas on Spanish guitar, along with producer Keron Thompson.
After great reception, the song was remixed by production project Major Lazer. After receiving even more attention the song released a music video in May of 2013.
The song, released off of VP records, was recently remixed yet again, this time featuring hip-hop legend, Busta Rhymes. Rhymes, who is known for his elaborate, yet intricate rapping style, is always spewing fast and hard-hitting lyrics, this time adding a little more flair to the soca reggae track.
With critical attention including MTV Iggy Top 3 Song of the year, Soul Train Award Winner, Hot 97 Battle of the Beats, and plays on radio stations throughout New York and the north east, this remix can only add some fuel to the fire. With Busta taking over the first verse, this song is sure to gain even more popularity, in fact since its release about a week ago, it has already received almost 35,000 views!
