On Saturday, August 15th, 2015, The Pier will host its first ever Reggae festival at the Oceanside Amphitheater in Oceanside, CA right by the Oceanside Pier. We have already confirmed our headliners for the event to help celebrate The Pier’s 8 years as a reggae-rock music magazine!
With so many great festivals taking place all over the world, we feel that we will squash the competition and raise the flag as the number 1 festival in the music industry, starting with the inaugural Pier Fest 2015! We will stream this event directly on our website with commentators providing you set-by-set coverage.
We’ll have on-site roller coasters, a hula-hoop contest, a section for craps and high-stakes gambling, a speech from the city’s Mayor about equality, an opium bar and a Good Vibes booth where fans can go and over-use the word Vibes. The Good Vibes booth will be placed in front of our MMA cage where we will toss Bad Vibe concert-goers to fight for their life against Ronda Rousey.
Selfies, Alcohol, Marijuana and Cigarettes are all Prohibited – I mean, c’mon, we have an opium bar!
Pier Fest 2015 Line-up:
Okay, so we’re not really doing a Pier Festival and why would we? There are SO many reggae festivals popping up each year and while some are authentic and true to the scene, others seem to want to cash in on Shaka’s and “Good Vibes” to fill their pockets off your demand. The Pier looks forward to covering as many of the awesome and genuine festivals as possible, but we’re not going to add another one to the many with a Pier Fest.
We are however planning a yearly event that is NOT a festival or your typical concert/show. We’ll keep you posted on what specifically that is, but rest assure, the only thing true about this April Fools Day post is that The Pier will celebrate 8 years as your trusted Reggae-Rock music news outlet on August 15th, 2015.
Make it a great April Fools Day and have fun fooling your fellow neighbor!
