Kings & Comrades Bio/Background:
Originally formed in 2006, as two-piece acoustic outfit consisting of singer, songwriter Jeff McCaughey and drummer/percussionist Steve Morris, the band has grown and evolved a lot since their early days. The band added members on bass, guitar, and percussion and began recording demos and playing shows. Kings and Comrades have played many venues in the Philadelphia area including World Cafe Live, and headlining The Trocadero Mainstage. After a hiatus that has seen members move on and pursue new avenues, the band reformed in the summer of 2010 with Dennis Stolle on Bass and Brandon Paster filling out the sound on Keyboards, along with Danny Serrano on drums. The band has just finished their first EP together, “On The Rise”, dropping on Itunes June 28th 2011

Here’s what Kings & Comrades told The Pier about the song:
“I wrote this love song song about the feeling you get when you know the end of a relationship is near. A feeling we’ve all had when you can see things are just not the same. It was the last song we wrote for the EP and we decided to record it last minute because we were all feelin’ the vibe of the song. We recorded with Producer Will Yip at Studio 4 and had a blast making the EP.”

The band is currently playing shows along the east coast and looking to branch out to new states in the months to come. They will be performing at the Brendan Borek Surf Competition in New Jersey on August 20th. Also an acoustic show is in the works with Ryan Leimkuhler in Anaheim, July 28th. Follow the group
