Ballyhoo! “808 x Coffee” Review

BALLYHOO! DROPS STELLER TRACK- “808 x COFFEE”- MUSIC THERAPY FOR THE SOUL

Ballyhoo! drops another banger, “808 x Coffee”. This track you will listen to on repeat, it’s that good! The group has got Howie Spangler’s hypnotic vocals, and a band full of talent that has completely taken the music industry by storm. Ballyhoo! has had an impressive career since their forming in 1995. Relentless touring Ballyhoo! has shared the stage with 311, Dirty Heads, Tribal Seeds, and Slightly Stoopid and playing the biggest festivals in the country.

It is clear music runs through their veins. The unique sound created by Ballyhoo! has got that therapeutic blend of reggae, ska, and punk rock. But it’s also got that amazing balance of
smoother melodic beats.

“808 x Coffee” conveys the struggles faced in one’s music career, the stress and turbulence one can endure. Shared in this track the “shadow pages”, reveals the pressure than can bear down on the soul. But one can also feel the passion and the drive that dominates, thus overpowering all the dark sides. I think we can all relate to this song, with struggles in our own lives. The music’s deliverance sheds light on the stress we face but accept ourselves let go and allow the process. The driving force of their music comes from their deep-rooted passion for the music while tapping into in that beautiful, emotional side of themselves.
