Beach Fly Links Up With Tropidelic for New Song ‘Make it Work’

Beach Fly and Tropidelic have joined forces on a new single titled “Make it Work.”

Beach Fly is the reggae inspired, feel good musical project lead by 20 year old John DeMari. Fans are likely familiar with DeMari thanks to his the 2 Minute Podcast, the popular series where he has interviewed and built relationships with many of the biggest acts in the American reggae scene (including Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, and Iration).

Here he teams up with Cleveland reggae-rock heavyweights Tropidelic to deliver the upbeat, breezy new single “Make it Work.”

A message accompanying the song notes: “The Beach Fly sound is warm, honest, and homegrown. Inspired by modern reggae artists like Stick Figure and Rebelution, and acoustic storytellers like Jack Johnson and Xavier Rudd, the music carries a deep belief: that joy, presence, and love are worth fighting for. It’s more than just good vibes—it’s about lifting people up, creating space for connection, and reminding folks that light still wins.”

Beach Fly’s upcoming debut album includes additional features from Surfer Girl (who is executive producing the album), The Expendables, Claire Wright and more. They’ll hit the road with Ballyhoo! and Cydeways for a US tour starting later this month. In September, Beach Fly will head out with Rome for an additional run of dates.
