Southern California’s BeachLife Festival has revealed the lineup for its SpeakEasy Stage, an intimate performance space designed to showcase stripped-down sets from influential artists across punk, rock, and surf-adjacent scenes.
Taking place May 1–3, 2026 on the waterfront in Redondo Beach, California, the festival’s SpeakEasy Stage — presented by ST?K Cold Brew Coffee — will feature acoustic and reimagined performances from artists including Mike Watt (Minutemen, Dos), Jim Lindberg (Pennywise), Jen Pop (The Bombpops), Jason Devore (Authority Zero), Hendrix Frankenreiter, Triple Bueno, Water Tower, The Spinouts, Righteous Waves, and Taft Buckley.
The concept was developed by Jim Lindberg, the Hermosa Beach punk veteran and BeachLife’s Creative Director, as a way to blend the laid-back coastal energy of the festival with the deep South Bay punk legacy that helped shape bands like Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Redd Kross, and Descendents.
“With legendary punk bands like Black Flag, The Circle Jerks, Redd Kross, and The Descendents all coming from the South Bay of Los Angeles, we’ve always tried to respect that legacy,” Lindberg said in a statement. “Having artists like Mike Watt performing on the SpeakEasy stage helps keep that punk rock spirit alive.”
The SpeakEasy Stage schedule is spread across all three days of the festival:
Friday, May 1
Jen Pop (The Bombpops)
Triple Bueno
Taft Buckley
Saturday, May 2
Mike Watt (Minutemen, Dos)
Jim Lindberg (Pennywise)
Jason Devore (Authority Zero)
Water Tower
Sunday, May 3
Hendrix Frankenreiter
The Spinouts
Righteous Waves
In addition to live performances, the SpeakEasy area will host a popup gallery curated by the Punk Rock & Paintbrushes collective, showcasing artwork from musicians and visual artists including Jackie Wasserman, Jonah Nimoy, Chad Smith, Lisa Johnson, Chali 2na, Nicole Freese, Bob Dob, and more.
Founded in 2007 by Emily Nielsen, Punk Rock & Paintbrushes highlights visual art created by musicians and creatives from the punk and alternative music scenes.
BeachLife Festival, launched in 2019, has quickly become one of Southern California’s signature coastal events, blending music, surf culture, culinary programming, and art installations.
The 2026 lineup is led by headliners Duran Duran, The Offspring, James Taylor and His All-Star Band, The Chainsmokers, My Morning Jacket, Slightly Stoopid, Sheryl Crow, and Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, alongside dozens of additional artists across four stages.
