The team is back fam!! We were excited to receive the news about the OGs and Ozomatli founding members Chali 2na and Cut Chemist rejoining Ozomatli for their Cali Vibes appearance, and release “Libertad.” Ahead of the festival, the super group has dropped a music video for “LIBERTAD,” which translates to FREEDOM. This is their first collaboration since Ozomatli’s self-titled 1998 debut album.

Cut Chemist
Founding member of Ozomatli and Jurrassic 5, Cut Chemist has been cutting it up for over 30 years now. Most notable was his solo career. He also teamed up with DJ Shadow for a series of DJ mixes using only 45s. Cut Chemist will be joining Ozomatli at Cali Vibes and is a featured artist on the new single “Libertad.”
Chali 2na
Chali 2na (pronounced Charlie Tuna) exploded onto the scene with his signature deep bass vocals and heady rhythmic bars. He added stylish bravado to his founding projects Ozomatli and Jurrasic5. With his solo career, Chali 2na continues to impress. In addition to his many albums, EP and remixes, Chali 2na has also featured with artists such as Black Eye Peas, Slightly Stoopied, Mos Def, Linkin Park, Blackalicious, and Long Beach Dub All Stars to name a few.
