Earlier this year, California Roots Presents Inc. kicked off the summer with the beloved annual get-together known as the California Roots Music and Arts Festival. This weekend, the party will return to legendary Monterey County Fairgrounds as California Roots Presents Inc. draws the summer to a close with the debut of their new event, Summer Mix Up: Back To The Roots. 
Yep, they are at it again, and this time California Roots Presents Inc. is bringing the music back to the Roots! After the successes of their flagship festival held each May at the Monterey County Fairgrounds, festival organizers are returning to the beautiful grounds for a new festival, dubbed Summer Mix Up: Back To The Roots.
Set for this Saturday, August 9th fans will flock to the California’s famed amphitheater for a day filled with Roots Reggae music. With a total of 5 bands on the schedule, the event boasts a line-up that features legendary acts. Artists whose work can be traced back to the formative years of the genre, some of the best artists to have ever played Roots Reggae.
To go see a Reggae show on any given night and watch one renown act is normally worth the price of admission. However, California Roots Presents Inc., known to provide true value for their fans is once again packing in the talent into ONE show. Topping the bill for the first Summer Mix Up will be none other than Don Carlos, followed by a Israel Vibrations, Yellowman, Mike Love and Stranger!
Tickets for Summer Mix Up: Back To The Roots are on sale now. At only $35.00, they are quite the deal! The show begins at 2:30pm, all ages are welcome and children 10 and under free with a paying adult.

Yellowman WILL-NOT be playing the Summer Mix Up: Back To The Roots.
Tuesday, August, 5th 2014 10:45pm PST, California Roots Presents Inc. made this announcement via Facebook:
“We regret to inform you that because of issues beyond out control Yellowman will not be playing both California Roots shows this week. For fans that have bought tickets for the Mystic Theater show on August 7th you can get a refund from the Mystic and should receive an email from them.
For The Summer Mix Up we have extended all set times of bands to give you a epic experience from all bands playing. We will announce set times tomorrow for the Summer Mix Up. For anyone that want’s a refund for the Summer Mix Up we will honor those. Please email info@californiarootsfestival.com”
