After much anticipation & revealing the initial details of the 5th annual California Roots Festival back in August, it is finally May! With the festival just around the corner, California Roots Presents has released the final details surrounding this epic event, including the full schedule and festival map.
Year after yearm California Roots continues to grow throughout the infamous Monterey Fairgrounds, selling out in advance, with more and more attendees enjoying the festivities every year. In 2014, the event will finally expand into the Pattee Arena or “The Bowl”, with crowds filling field of the “Cali Roots Stage” field and along the hill of the Jack Payton Stage also known as Cali-Roots “Original Stage.”
During the three days of California Root, spread across these three stages, will be one jam-packed schedule with surprisingly little overlap or conflict.
On the opening day, attendees can see Passafire, Katchafire, Steel Pulse then SOJA. On Saturday the bill boasts so many amazing acts, Alobrosie, Iration, Nahko, Ziggy Marley, and Rebelution, just to name a few. On Sunday the festival blazes to a close with The Movement, The Green, Groundation, Pepper, Skunk Records, 311 and finally, Damian “Jr Gong” Marley.

It has just been announced that the festival will be available to stream live on YouTube! During ALL 3 days of California Roots, performances from The Bowl and The Cali Roots stages will be broadcast LIVE at Youtube.com/calirootstube
The final countdown is ON, but with the event only days away, make sure to be prepared for what is sure to be one very overwhelming weekend. Study the festival map to the right, and cross-reference it with the schedule. Make sure to know where the stages are located, so as not to miss your favorite band. Make sure everything is packed, including the tickets. Most importantly, get ready to have a blast!
