All of the parents who threw out NOFX records, kept their kids from attending Lagwagon concerts, prevented youth from sporting Strung Out t-shirts or Good Riddance stickers, and asked, “what the fuck is he saying?” after hearing Propagandhi are scratching their heads in sheer disbelief. For 25 years Fat Wreck Chords has stayed true to itself and will embark on the Fat Wrecked for 25 Years Tour on August 6, 2015.
Watch: Fat Mike announces Fat Tour:
The Flatliners, Masked Intruder, and toyGuitar will join NOFX, Lagwagon, Strung Out, and Swingin’ Utters for a North American Tour starting in Toronto, Ontario. From there the near-geriatrics will head to Montreal and Halifax before coming to America to meet up with the best looking band on the infamous indie label, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, in Boston, Asbury Park, Philadelphia, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Denver.
The finale will culminate in California and Fat Wreck Chords apparently got permission to shut down the streets of San Francisco at Thee Parkside for three whole fucking days! There is a sold out screening of Backstage Passport 2 on Friday August 21st. NOFX’s reality/video tour diary first appeared on Fuse Network in 2008 and the new season may or may not premiere on Netflix. Follow their shenanigans on tour in obscure places around the world including Chile, Peru, Singapore, Israel, Russia, and South Africa.
We will undoubtedly still see the amusing substance infused, behind-the-scenes antics of the band in various locations around the world. We will hopefully catch a glimpse of the making of Fat Mike’s musical Home Street Home in an episode or two.
The city of San Francisco apparently did not see the lineup for the next two days before they approved the permit…

No Use and Friends *
Dead to Me
Bad Cop/Bad Cop
* There is an obvious hole in this line-up since the passing of Tony Sly nearly three years ago and No Use For A Name would have rounded out this line up perfectly. Band mates Matt Riddle, Rory Koff, Dave Nassie (and more) will be joined by other Fat band members on lead vocals in a tribute set called No Use And Friends on Sunday, August 23rd in San Francisco. This will be a one-of-a-kind set that any No Use For a Name fan, or Fat Wreck Chords fan for that matter, has ever experienced.
The tour ends in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium, but no one really cares about LA. In November, a heap of these hooligans will hop on a plane to wreak havoc in the Land of the Rising Sun.
To anyone born after 1995, please go to Hot Topic, pick out your favorite punk rock shirt, wash it a bunch of times, cut some holes, sew a couple of CRASS patches, add some studs, and no one will fucking care what you’re wearing anyway.
Everyone else, I’ll see you in the pit in San Francisco.
[Stay tuned for my Producer Spotlight on long time Fat Wreck/Motor Studios producer Ryan Greene where I have a friendly conversation with NOFX, Lagwagon, Strung Out, and Swingin’ Utters about Ryan and their studio hijinks while making our favorite 1990s Fat Wreck Chords records.]
