Fortunate Youth, another one of reggae’s hardest working and touring bands year round, have recently announced plans for their It’s All A Jam Spring Tour 2014! Joining along for the ride will be their good friends and fellow Los Angeles Roots Reggae band, True Press.
This nationwide tour kicks off on March 6th and the vibes will be spread through May 10th. Currently, Fortunate Youth is getting ready to hit the road this winter on the West Coast Cruisin’ Tour with 
HIRIE, which will lead them right into the spring tour. Corey Draskovich of FY spoke highly of the True Press family when asked why FY chose them as direct support. He said, “They’re a hard working band. We respect and enjoy their music along with their company. Good people.”

Although True Press has been around for a while, they have yet to embark on a full tour and have remained in the sunny state of California for most of their musical career, making this their first national tour. They are currently in the middle of recording their first full-length album and just last month, they were at Imperial Sound Recording Studio working on a few songs. With E.N Young’s expertise being added to the already heavily roots influenced music of True Press, you can be sure to expect something special once the recordings are released. The band hopes to have the album finished before they perform at this year’s California Roots Festival!

Tickets for the It’s All A Jam Spring Tour 2014 go on sale this Friday, January 10th. Corey added, “We are looking forward to getting out there and visiting all of our fans and friends that we’ve made over our musical journey the past couple years. Maybe give a couple sneak peaks of new songs.”
If you are from the Southern California area, chances are that you’ve seen the two bands perform together at a local show or event. When it comes to these bands, two things are for sure, Fortunate Youth and True Press both put on an amazing performance and the positive vibes always have a strong presence at their shows.
