Originally issued as a promo release in 2000, Front Porch Loungin’ has long been a rare and highly valued collectible for G Love faithful. Up until now, it was only available on CD, with original copies regularly sold on Ebay for $50 to $100.
Front Porch Loungin’ is filled with the kind of hip-hop and blues hybrids that have endeared G Love & Special Sauce to generations of fans. Highlights include an impressive cover of the Beatles’ “Blackbird” and the bouncy, funk-infused “Rise Up” (which you can hear below).
The surprise streaming release of Front Porch Loungin’ will undoubtedly be music to the ears of G Love fans everywhere. Get ready to hear these vibey tracks on playlists all summer long.
