British reggae favorites Gentleman’s Dub Club are entering their 11th year since their musical inception, and in keeping consistent with their every-other-year-release schedule they have announced that their third full-length album Dubtopia will be released on April 7, 2017 via Easy Star Records. The band will certainly have big shoes to fill in follow-up to 2015’s The Big Smoke, but are already showing no signs of slowing down with available snippets from their latest offering.
The sound from Gentleman’s Dub Club is traditionally rather complex with various dynamics confronting the listener. Embedded within their music, hard at work behind the speakers and often overlooked, listeners will find hints of reverb, electro synths, keys, subtle harmonies and additional undertones to complete their overall dub-centric, roots reggae sound. This was definitely the case with their latest record The Big Smoke released two years ago, which received a well-deserved warm reception from critics and fans alike.
The nine-piece outfit from Leeds have noticeably developed their musicianship over the years while staying true to their original theme. Gentleman’s Dub Club continues to incorporate new elements to their music from their first studio album FOURtyFOUR in 2013, and also having plenty of fun with new remixes and experiments on the side from previous tracks and singles as well.

Prepare for plenty of dubby goodness, rhythmic slappage of some sweet, sweet basslines, prominent horns and plenty of opportunities to dance along with.

In addition to the news release of Dubtopia hitting the shelves in April, Gentleman’s Dub Club have also announced additional tour dates throughout the Spring. There have been no US Tour Dates announced at this time, but fans should keep close tabs on their schedule to see if they come through their town in 2017!
