Out of Rochester, NY we have an update that Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad will be releasing their new album, titled Steady, this fall on Sept 30th, 2014 via Easy Star Records. Steady will be followed in early 2015 by a sequel to Country, called Bright Days, an Americana acoustic persona of the group…
The band has released a single for the new album with the title track “Steady” that you can download for FREE on the bands website at LivePanda.com. According to the band, the bulk of the songs from the new album were recorded in 2013 with Craig Welsch of 10 Ft. Ganja Plant co-producing. Other producers on the album include Danny Kalb (The Green, Ben Harper) & Matt Saccuccimorano (John Brown’s Body).
“This is without a doubt the best sounding record we’ve ever made,” says singer-bassist James Searl. “But it’s also the most consistently solid set of songwriting we’ve done to date.”
This will be the bands first album release under Easy Star Records, a label with a roster that already includes The Green, Rebelution, John Brown’s Body, Cas Haley, The Black Seeds, and Easy Star All-Stars. Fans can find Giant Panda touring with Easy Star All-Stars & Tatanka this fall on the Dub Steady Tour – Tour Dates are below!

“Sometimes it takes a while for the stars to align right,” Easy Star CEO Eric Smith says. “We always bounced around the idea of working with each other, but after hearing the growth on these latest sessions and seeing how good the band’s live set had become, we knew now was the time to finally make it happen.”
As previously mentioned, Steady will be followed in early 2015 by a sequel to Country called Bright Days, which will take the band’s Americana acoustic persona even further. This is also due to come out on Easy Star, along with a vinyl version of Steady. Track titles & track listing will be announced soon.
