Gregory Isaacs, best known for his 1982 release of Night Nurse passed away Monday morning at his home in London at the age of too-young 59 following a year long battle with lung cancer. “Gregory was well loved by everyone, his fans and his family, and he worked really hard to make sure he delivered the music they loved and enjoyed, ” Isaacs’ wife Linda said. “He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.”
Isaacs, aka the Cool Ruler, became an icon in the late ’70s & collaborated with reggae-dub & dancehall icons such as Dennis Brown, Sugar Minott & worked extensively with Lee “Scratch Perry & King Tubby
