Groundation has just announced the schedule for their first tour of live performances this year. Set to play Mexico, the Western US and a date in Costa Rica, the band will play shows of famous Wailers tracks in celebration of Bob Marley‘s 70th Birthday as well as shows with original material from their new record, A Miracle.
Announced in a video posted on Youtube from Groundation creator Harrison Stafford, which can be seen below, beginning February 13, the tour kicks off with two nights in Mexico. The first, with Easy Star All Stars at El Plaza Condesa in Mexico City. The following night they play their first ever show in Guadalajara at the Heartbeat Festival. Groundation continues with stops throughout California, Southern Oregon, a date in Utah and three nights in Colorado. Several of these shows will be special tributes to the great Bob Marley, celebrating his 70th birthday, where the band will play classic Wailers’ songs. Some of the shows will be Groundation events allowing the band to play live versions of tracks from their latest record, A Miracle.
Groundation will also headline Costa Rica’s Envision Festival. Scheduled for February 26th through the 1st of March, the event hosts a truly unique experience of music, yoga, art and much more. Additionally, listed on Bandsintown is a set of tour dates scheduled for the month of April. This next run will once again takes Groundation throughout all of France.
