Jakob Nowell Spotlights Artists On His New Label on BVNT/TOUR

Jakob Nowell has a vision to carry on  not only the Sublime legacy; but to create and support a community of music acts in the rock scene that embody the Southern California surf/skate/punk rock culture.

SVN/BVRNT RECORDS – was conceived in 2025 by Jakob and fellow musician and friend Zane “Zayno” Vandevort – and serves as an arm of Regime Music Group, the artist management and publishing powerhouse home to a long list of heavy hitting groups including WAR, Sublime, Everlast, G. Love & Special Sauce, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Lettuce, The Ataris, and The Vandals.

Live music is heavy on the priority list of SVNBVRNT having already racked up a run of shows in Southern California thus far in 2025 featuring Jakobs band Jakobs Castle, supported by local acts – leading into the labels first US tour now underway covering the Midwest and the East Coast.

The Midwest leg of the BVRNT/TOUR kicked off in Pittsburgh on May 28th, then trekked through Ohio, Kentucky, before heading to the east cost for the final leg. The tour wraps up with a showing at the Vans Warped Tour.

The BVNT/TOUR aims to showcase the first two artists signed to SVNBVRNT with pro surfer/artist Jesse James Pariah and Ventura based Strange Case performing along side Jakobs Castle. Spray Allen, Eric Wilson of Sublime’s side project, also joins on select shows throughout the tour.

The Pier was on hand for the Ohio dates – and captured some key moments including James Begin from Tropidelic joining for a verse on the Castle’s version of Garden Grove, and JJP jumping up for the recently released Castle remake of Sublime’s EBIN.

Whether performing in the US or abroad in stadiums before 50,000, or playing backyard style shows at 500 cap independently owned venues, Jakob and the newly formed SVNBVRNT crew have clearly created a fever in the scene with much more excitement on the horizon.
