After an extensive west coast fall tour and a subsequent east coast string of dates, John Brown’s Body will continue their persistence in 2013. The next region on the map to cover is the Rocky Mountain region of Colorado and Utah. Read all the details and tour information inside!
Touring the better part of the fall and winter seasons traveling throughout the country, JBB will begin their Rocky Mountain tour on February 8th in Fort Collins, CO at the Aggie Theatre, running through February 16th, before 
heading back east. If you are an outdoors man or woman and enjoy some fresh powder on the slopes, along with great music, these are your shows to attend! All of these live performances for JBB are in support of their recent September 18th, 2012 release, JBB in Dub, released via Easy Star Records. The dub release embodies both their classic reggae roots, as well as their progressive new-school dub style. The track list includes 6-dub tracks, as well as, a recorded version of “The Grass”, which features vocals from JBB front man Elliot Martin.
John Brown’s Body is the essence of a memorable live performance. As a fan, one can glance onto the stage and just see JBB enjoying every note and lyric they perform. Tommy Benedetti, drummer and founding member of JBB) described their live performance as stretching, and not the exercise. “We love playing music together, man. We love strechin’. A bunch of us live in Boston and we play music together a lot in town in different formations. We’ve been playing together for a while, and we love stretchin’ things and we pride ourselves on having really big ears. When the moment arises, people know what to do at the right time. Everybody takes their shot at the proper time. With an 8-piece band everybody can’t be stepping all over everybody. Everybody’s gotta have big ears and you gotta listen and you gotta react. We’re all just reacting to things going on onstage. We’ve been playing long enough, or we’re fortunate enough, to be able to just work off each other.”
John Brown’s Body is an extremely professional band during live performances, while still giving the entire crowd one of the best live experiences of their lives, and that is not an understatement. So, the Rocky Mountain region of the United States has been warned! Also, be on the lookout for new songs performed from the east coast future roots outfit! A new album is in the works and is expected to be released in 2013!
