There’s no doubt that this summer has already been packed with tons of new music being released from some of the reggae community’s biggest names and Josh Heinrichs would like to be added to that list very soon.
Josh has just finished putting the finishing touches on a brand new 5-song EP titled, High On Love. The album was recorded and produced by Greg Roller at Roller Recording Studio in Branson, MO. Josh is very familiar with the studio as it is only 45 minutes from his hometown and has recorded most of his albums there. He adds, “Greg has got an amazing studio, I love the authentic touch that we get from 
recording there.”
The album has been a work in progress since Josh finished recording the Rooftop Session EP. The main theme of this EP, along with most of Josh’s music, is LOVE. Skillinjah is featured on the track, “One Love,” which has a dancehall feel to it and really brings the energy to the mellow moods throughout the EP.
When asked what his favorite track was, Josh replied with, “’Love is the Answer’, because I feel like this really represents who I am & the way I feel about life. I couldn’t make it any more clear than I do in this song.”
On August 6th, High On Love will be available for purchase through all digital retailers. However, Mr. Heinrichs has made a special offer so that fans can get the new music before it is made available to the public! In preparation for his upcoming tour with Tribal Seeds, Josh has started a music pledge page where fans can help with funding for his tour. All fans who pledge $10 or more, will be eligible to download the EP on JULY 22nd! Greater donation amounts can get you all sorts of cool items such as a signed hard copy of the new EP, signed limited edition shirt and more. All these are given as a token of appreciation from Josh and his family.
Josh will soon be hitting the road with Skillinjah and a full band to tour alongside Tribal Seeds with E.N Young and Gonzo. Here’s what he had to say about his upcoming tour, “…in all my years of touring I’ve never had the opportunity to tour the northern East Coast. So this will be my first time in places like Maine, NY & Massachusetts, etc. I’m really excited about those shows.”
