Unearthed from the Pier’s archives – Landon McNamara’s cool, intimate performance of “Deep Water.”
The footage, which you can watch below, was shot during a chill backyard session at the SRH compound in Southern California. McNamara, flanked by a lone rhythm guitarist/backing singer, delivers soulful vocals with his customary charm.
Originally released on his 2016 album A Dollar Short & A Minute Late, “Deep Water” remains one of McNamara’s most popular songs. The single has amassed more than 20 million streams on Spotify and has remained a mainstay in his set lists. The singer-songwriter has won fans across the globe with his distinctive blend of reggae, alternative, and acoustic music.
McNamara will be performing at a handful of festival dates this summer, including Holo Holo San Diego (Aug. 30), See.Hear.Now in Asbury Park, New Jersey (Sept. 14), and Holo Holo Oahu on Oct. 18.
When he’s not making music, McNamara can be found riding waves. Born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, the musician comes from a long line of surfers. He’s participated in major tournaments around the world and won the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational earlier this year.
