Cisco Adler’s “Long Strange Trip” Background:
“Long Strange Trip” is the second song in 4 months that Cisco Adler has released via his own Banana Beat Records. It has been since the 2014 release of his 10 track album Coastin’ that we’ve heard new music from Cisco Adler. That album included guest appearances by Matisyahu, Rome Ramirez of Sublime with Rome, and DJ Skinnie.
With introducing “Long Strange Trip” Adler tells The Pier: “This song is in a group of 4 tunes that was a burst of inspiration after my friend Cody Dickinson gave me a yellow nylon string guitar that felt magical in my hands. It literally gave me the songs. After the success of Don’t Kill My Buzz… which quietly sold 11k singles in its first week out of nowhere with zero promotion I was definitely reinvigorated with the thought of giving the people more music. And here we are after a long strange trip.”
Adler will release his next song on January 6th while he finishes up a new project he’s finishing up in the studio, explaining to The Pier: “Right now I am mixing and mastering the Jamtown record which is a band consisting of myself, G Love, and Donavan Frankenreiter. The music is warm, rich American roots rock with lush harmonies and 3 acoustics. Almost a modern Traveling Wilburys if you will. It’s special and we can’t wait to share it.”
