“In Session” Background:
Released on January 7th, this is a reggae EP by KBong that features E.N Young of Tribal Seeds on the song In Session, playing melodica. E.N also mixed the track! Drums were done by Kevin Offitzer, also of Stick Figure.
Here’s what KBong had to say about “In Session”: “This song was inspired by a trip to Hawaii. There’s a mystical vibe the island gives off. My goal was to capture that in this song. I also wanted to produce a song that geared towards the more rootsy side of Reggae.”

KBong Background:
Kevin Bong (KBong) is a singer/guitarist/songwriter who includes elements of reggae, pop and hip-hop combined with lyrics about personal experiences. “I try and sings songs that people can relate too,” says KBong.
Born in Seattle, WA and raised in Hawaii, KBong currently resides in San Diego, CA. The “Rising” EP is available now with a full length album that will follow & be available sometime this Summer 2014. KBong’s live performance and style can be categorized as upbeat, energetic and includes improv too. KBong has shared the stage with bands such as Stick Figure, Passafire, Tribal Seeds, The Steppas, HIRIE, Ezzrah, Mike Pinto, John Brown’s Body, New Kingston, Micah Brown, HI Roots and more!
