“The Sound” Background:
I Grade Records & Buss Pipe Records came together for the release of Pressure’s 14 track studio album, The Sound. The Sound is Pressure’s 4th album to date and follows 2005’s debut The Pressure is On, 2007’s megahit Love and Affection, and 2009’s Coming Back For You.
The Sound, released on April 15th, 2014, was largely produced by Grammy-nominated production team, Zion I Kings. A majority of the album was recorded in St. Croix at Aqua Sounds Stuio, with additional recording at the world famous Tuff Gong Studio in Jamaica. Mixed by I Grade Producer, Laurent, “Tippy I” Alfred, The Sound delivers diverse roots reggae production and heartfelt songwriting.
Additionally, a host of guest appearances light up the album with guest spots by Lutan Fyah on “Stop This Train”, Ras Batch & NiyoRah on “Cry For Humanity”, Volcano on “Herbsman Town” and Midnite on the track “Nothing No Wrong”.

Pressure Background:
Born Delyno Brown on August 5, 1981, Pressure was exposed to music at a young age due to his father being a member of a popular local band. He started playing drums and trumpet at age 9, but it wasn’t until age 12 that he developed a passion for singing.
He rose to popularity in the Virgin Islands and in regional and national reggae circles as a member of the Star Lion Family reggae group, a group of young men that brought several V.I. communities together through their music. He gained further experience as an opening act for Sizzla and Elephant Man.
