One such group, Red Sage, who is based out of Colorado, has been contacting us for quite some time to feature their music and with the release of their new single, “Cruel World,” we’re doing just that…

Red Sage’s “Cruel World” Background:
“Cruel World” was a song that came about during a transition of hardship both personally and as a group. “The lyrics are a calling to change perspective a little and see that this world needs a connection back to a mindset that can nourish the soul,” says vocalist/keyboard player Jordan Armijo.
“Cruel World” quickly became a fan favorite among fans who would see the group perform live, so the group made the conscience decision of recording the song live in the studio. They went through Joel Scanlon at Scanhope Sound Studios in Denver, CO out of love for his work done with John Brown’s Body & Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad.
The group plans to continue recording for a new album they hope to release in the spring, currently titled Pick Up The Pieces. Until then, follow the group online at their website by clicking HERE!
Red Sage Background:
Red Sage is made up of a collective of musicians from different backgrounds in Colorado’s thriving music scene. The group was founded by vocalist/keyboard player Jordan Armijo out of Pueblo, CO and joined by guitarist/vocalist of Colorado Springs, Nick Pauly, bassist James Normandin and the semi-traditional, jazz-influenced drum rhythms of Drew Stiles who all take their own approach of performing reggae music with a blues and soul influence that is reminiscent of roots reggae as well as hints of Latin influenced beats. The music is inspired by true life events and current events in the world as well as a will to grow and spread some love throughout the darkest corners of the world.
They recently made their first out of state debut in Salt Lake City, Utah as well as California and are ready to make their first full national run in the near future. They’re currently inside the studio working on a brand new album called Pick Up The Pieces that they hope to release this spring.
