The Wheeland Brothers are a fairly new group making noise with their laid back Acoustic Beach Rock Reggae music. This Tuesday they have a new album dropping titled Toast To The Coast. You can download the first track off that album this week, FREE…
As is the case with most MP3 Leaks, we love to hear the artists perspective on the song, along with the background on the track to fully understand and grasp the meaning of the song. Here’s what The Wheeland Bros had to say in regards to the song “Sand In My Sheets”. Enjoy the background while you listen to the new song…
“Nate Frogg, the older of the two brothers, wrote “Sand in My Sheets” on a hot summer night, strumming his ukulele on the beach in Newport. During the several summers he spent living there on Balboa Peninsula, many a grain of beach sand was tracked into the house, up the stairs, and into his bed. For some people that would be a problem, for Nate, the sand is just a nice reminder of good times with good friends on the boardwalk and in the surf.”

The Wheeland Bros Bio/Background:
If you’ve ever paddled into the surf on a glassy summer morning and felt the sun of a new day burn away the deep cool of last night, then you know where the Wheeland Brothers are coming from. Their acousitc “beach rock reggae” sound is full of strong vocals with catchy melodies and Southern California-inspired lyrics. Songs like “Sand in My Sheets” and “In With the Newport” capture an upbeat, summertime, “cruisin’ down PCH” vibe, while mellow tracks like “When Will I See You Again” and “Just Take It Easy” are full of down-to-earth, introspective honesty and soulful emotion.
