This Tuesday, July 12th, Fiction 20 Down will be releasing their new EP, Do Not Feed The Radio. With this release, F20D brings their deft blend of reggae-bluesy rock together for five clean and perfectly blended tunes. Do Not Feed the Radio builds upon the signature sound developed in F20D’s earlier works, as the band stepped up their game by spending more time than ever in the studio, getting everything just right. With producer Drew Mazurek (Linkin Park, Jack’s Mannequin) at the helm, this EP is the epitome of what a good Summer EP should be, letting the listener wander across a colorful landscape of blues, reggae, Hawaiian styles and rock.
“On past albums we’ve had songs that were reggae, songs that were rock, songs that were hip-hop, etc. but this EP showcases all of our influences and styles together on each song.” Says Jordan of F20D. “The title track do not feed the radio is a great example… it’s kinda like Biggie meets Bradley meets Bob Weir.”
The Cover Art was designed by Efren Rebugio Jr, who is the groups sponsor with Seren Clothing. “I didn’t relay any of the meaning behind the title to Efren’says Jordan. “I just gave him a few lyrics to pull inspiration from and somehow he hit it head on.” The title, Do Not Feed The Radio, was explained to The Pier that it’s not necessarily a stance against commercial radio, it’s just F20D’s way of saying, don’t compromise yourself to make the radio. just be yourself & the rest will come naturally!
In support of their new Release, Fiction 20 Down will be having a CD Release Party on July 16th in Maryland, followed by an acoustic show on July 19th. They’ll open the month of August on a 8 date tour with Echo Movement courtesy of Silver Surfer Vaporizer’s!
