Announced Monday, September 9, via their Facebook page, New Kingston is set to go on tour starting October 19. Named the Madd Tour 2013, New Kingston is set to headline almost 20 cities all across the United States.
Last Saturday night I was able to catch up with the boys from Brooklyn back stage during the Hemp Heals festival in Philadelphia, where they performed with Collie Buddz.
While talking to drummer Courtney Panton, he told me that the band is excited to headline this tour, saying “Playing with [Collie Buddz] has been a great opportunity and a lot of fun, but we are going to headline this tour in the fall.” That being said he also leaked a few of the potential guests that are going to be featured on the west coast part of the tour including South Oregon natives, Indubious, as well as Thrive, Sol Seed, Kore Ionz, and Clinton Fearon, as well as a guest spot playing with SOJA at the House of Blues in Anaheim.
After releasing their original tour plans about the Madd Tour, east coast fans can get excited as New Kingston added some huge east coast dates at the end of November. Featured guests include Spread the Dub and Easy Star All Stars.
This tour is jam packed with talent and even though I haven’t confirmed a date for Philly yet, I’m crossing my fingers that they’ll make another stop between Florida and New York before the year is over.
