NOFX New Single & Album!

Circa twenty-four years ago The Southern California Punk Legends NOFX released their debut full length album ,Liberal Animation, through Wassail Records. Since then they have sold over six million records, achieved gold status with their 1994 milestone Punk In Drublic, and have even recorded the second longest punk rock song in American history with “The Decline”, clocked in at 18 minutes and twenty-three seconds. Accordingly NOFX has become known as one of the most successful independent bands of all time.

On August 14th, NOFX will include a sneak peak to their newest album with another handy-dandy seven-inch vinyl containing two new tracks off their yet-to-be-named twelfth full-length album.

The b-side features a demo version of a fresh track from their summer tour I believe In Goddess, while the a-side will be a turnabout to real 80’s punk. The cover of the a-side Ronnie & Mags is a metaphor to NOFX’s intentions, with a picture of the 40th US president Ronald Reagan grabbing Maggie’s cheek, the one’s on the backside!

Only 5000 physical copies of the 7″ will be on the market, including a limited color pressing while supplies last. If you order from the Fat Wreck Webstore, you will receive a digital download a week before the 7″ release date.

NOFX moved from Epitaph records to Fat Mike’s label Fat Wreck Chords prior to their 2003 release of War On Errorism. On May 4th, lead-man Fat Mike announced that their twelfth full-length album will be released on September 11, 2012. The album’s name has yet to be revealed but in an interview with The Alternative Press, Fat Mike hinted at a self-titled album. Their twelfth release is also said to feature 12-13 new songs, one being released on the 7″ vinyl in August.

Stay tuned for more details…
