Protoje Releases New Album The Art of Acceptance

Protoje returns with The Art of Acceptance, a new full-length project that continues to push the boundaries of modern reggae while staying rooted in its core traditions.

Long regarded as one of the genre’s most influential contemporary voices, Protoje once again blends reggae and dancehall with elements of hip hop, soul, and jazz. The result is a project that feels both grounded and expansive, reflecting his ability to evolve without losing the essence of his sound.

The album features a strong lineup of collaborators, including Damian Marley, Shenseea, Masicka, Stephen Marley, Jesse Royal, and Pressure Busspipe, bringing together a mix of established names and key voices shaping the current reggae landscape.

Production is handled by Winta James, a longtime collaborator responsible for some of Protoje’s most recognized tracks, including “Who Knows” and “Switch It Up.” His signature approach helps tie the project together, balancing polished instrumentation with a natural, organic feel.

Protoje, a Grammy-nominated artist, has steadily built a global presence over the past decade, with appearances across major platforms including Rolling Stone, The FADER, and Vogue, as well as performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series.

The release follows a busy stretch for the artist. Earlier this year, he hosted his annual Lost In Time Festival in Jamaica before launching a 46-date headlining tour across Europe and the United States.

With The Art of Acceptance, Protoje continues to refine his voice while contributing to the ongoing evolution of reggae on a global scale.
