“Cali Get Down”, the newest single and video from Radical Something is a modern ode to the band’s SoCal lifestyle. With their own take on a classic west coast anthem, the boys play homage to classic hip-hop tracks like 2Pac’s “California Love” and Biggie’s “Going Back to Cali” – Download it for FREE inside our MP3 Massive section.
Emcee Alex “Loggy” Lagemann says, “The song jumps around and touches on a few different topics, but overall the message is about everybody having fun and enjoying themselves, no matter who they are or the atmosphere they’re in. We see so many beautiful girls around the world rocking out at our shows, and they’re never afraid to get as crazy as they can. They remind us of girls that we grew up with and are close to in California, so the song just kind of came naturally from those experiences.”
Radical Something has been playing together since 2011 and currently have three independent releases including We Are Nothing EP, Ride It Out, and No Sweat, the bands debut EP which reached as high as #6 on iTunes album chart in February 2012. In September of 2013, their second release Ride It Out reached #3 on iTunes Alternative Chart and #9 on Billboard’s Heatseeker chart, led by the single “We Were Just Kids”.
Members, Loggy, Cocktail and Big Red have been quite active over the last few years and since March 2012, they have headlined three national tours and have also played support for artists such as Capital Cities, Slightly Stoopid, SOJA, and 311. Starting September 16, Radical Something will once again be heading out on tour, this time for a two-month long road-trip spanning 50 dates, playing alongside Cisco Adler and Matiysahu for the Built to Survive Tour.
