Still riding the wave of critical acclaim from their Grammy-nominated release Everlasting in 2016, Raging Fyah recently announced that they will be hitting the road this summer with UB40 upon conclusion of their current tour dates with Tribal Seeds. Capturing their quintessential roots reggae sound in a live setting is a privilege for all who are able to see them perform; make sure you catch them when they come through your town!
Last year certainly proved to be a jam-packed one for the Kingston, Jamaica based five-piece with Everlasting (released via Dub Rockers) propelling them to new heights. To accompany a nomination at the 59th Grammy Awards in 2017 for Best Reggae Album, Raging Fyah has also been sharing their live show with as many audiences as possible along the way. Not only did Everlasting flow smoothly with repeatable songs from beginning-to-end, but the album also featured several notable guest appearances to include J. Boog, Jesse Royal and Busy Signal. Immediately following the release of Everlasting — which was also recorded in the notable Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston, Jamaica with Llamar “Riff Raff” Brown — Raging Fyah hit the road with Stick Figure and Fortunate Youth to perform their new songs for as many fans as possible and maintained a rigorous touring schedule throughout the rest of the year as well to include dates in the UK.
The unrelenting schedule for Raging Fyah has proved to be no different thus far in 2017, as the band has been touring alongside Tribal Seeds for their “Winter Roots Tour” with supporting acts Nattali Rize and Aloha Radio since January and will conclude the tour in March. Almost immediately following the conclusion of their dates with Tribal Seeds with a quick break, UB40 will be headlining 20 summer tour dates across the UK and US with support from Raging Fyah. With almost 40 years under their belt since their musical inception, UB40 has established themselves as common household names within reggae music, and the tour will be a surefire means to help grant more notoriety to Raging Fyah even after their recent Grammy mention.
