Reggae Rise Up Vegas Drops First Round Artists

Reggae Rise Up Vegas Drops First Round Artists

Eclipsing other summer festivals (see what we did there?), the Las Vegas lineup of the illustrious Reggae Rise Up camp has dropped it first round of artists today and includes the usual suspects: Slightly Stoopid, Stick Figure, Tribal Seeds, Pepper, HIRIE, The Expendables, and Rebelution.

Festival organizers have also included Wiz Khalifa and Atmosphere, who — even though they’re hip hop — have found a home in the welcoming arms of Cali Reggae in recent years. Jamaica is showing up to RRU Vegas with Protoje and Jesse Royal on the bill.

New acts we’re excited about include Mouse Powell (managed by Gonzo, who also manages Katastro), Stylie (out of Colorado, he’s burst on the scene in the last year and has a loyal fanbase), and Oregon-based Sol Seed.

Catch the little brothers of Cali Reggae, Cydeways, in Vegas, too. Dustin Parks, frontman of the Santa Barbara-based quartet says,

“Vegas is our favorite Reggae Rise Up. We played two years ago and are beyond stoked to be back this year!”

He’s most excited to see Slightly Stoopid, because he grew up going to their shows and “they’re always a blast to watch”.

Stay tuned for the second artists announcement in the weeks to come.
