Slightly Stoopid has recently announced that they will be once again invading Puerto Morales, MX December 13-17, bringing along supporting acts of SOJA, Stick Figure, J Boog, Fortunate Youth, and The Expanders.
Closer to the Sun is not just an epic concert, it’s a full vacation! Gather your friends and family to enjoy all-inclusive accommodations, the gorgeous beach, renowned restaurants and plenty of bars (including a swim-up bar and a swing bar on the beach) to quench your thirst early and often.
This year marks the fourth installment of the event and is again brought to you by Cloud 9 Adventures. Cloud 9 Adventures helps create the ultimate concert vacation on cruises, beaches and various resorts. In addition to Closer to the Sun, Cloud 9 Adventures has also hosted the Jam Cruise, Holy Ship!, Dominican Holidaze and more. Past activities have also included autograph signings, margarita making contests, beach volleyball, yoga sessions and more. 2017 activity information will soon be announced via the official website which can be found below!
Most importantly, the music of course promises to deliver as well — Slightly Stoopid will be playing three shows! SOJA, Stick Figure, J Boog, Fortunate Youth and The Expanders will be playing two sets with each one being scattered throughout the weekend. Afternoon sets will also be played on the poolside stage, and late-night shows will be live each night to keep the party going! Past performers also include Dirty Heads, Citizen Cope, Iration, Pepper, Matisyahu and many more.
