Hear Stick Figure’s New Single ‘Moon Palace’ From Upcoming ‘Free Flow Sessions’ Album

Stick Figure has announced a new instrumental driven album called Free Flow Sessions, and dropped its lead single, “Moon Palace.”

Free Flow Sessions is a concept that came to life as a series that Stick Figure has been sharing on his social media over the years, where he invites viewers in for a behind the scenes look at his production process. Now, for the first time, he’ll release some of the material publicly for listeners to enjoy.

Though the songs of Free Flow Sessions were never intended for an album, they still feature the enticing melodies and palpable emotion that has made Stick Figure the world’s most popular reggae artist. “Moon Palace” is the perfect example, a cosmic instrumental that engrosses listeners with its inviting energy. Even with the absence of lyrics, the track feels like a journey – building and moving like a cinematic score.

Free Flow Sessions are about going into the studio just to create, with no intention other than making music for its own sake,” Stick Figure’s Scott Woodruff explained via press release. “Often recorded in one-take sessions, these mostly instrumental jams were intended to capture the magic that happens when creativity is allowed to move freely and, in their own way, have been really helpful in shaping the last couple Stick Figure albums and developing the evolution of the Stick Figure sound.”

Listen to “Moon Palace” below. Free Flow Sessions will be released on November 13 and is available for pre-save now.
