Scott Woodruff and the Stick Figure crew aren’t slowing down anytime soon. After releasing one of 2017’s top songs in “Above The Storm,” Stick Figure has revealed another new track from their forthcoming album this year entitled “Easy Runaway” – a song that the band claims to be one of their favorites from the upcoming album.
While 2017 was a huge year for Stick Figure with their brand soaring even higher from their “year of festivals” and tour runs, 2018 appears to be no different with the forthcoming seventh studio album from Scott Woodruff and company. Woodruff informed The Pier late in the year that the new album would be dropping around Summer or Fall 2018 with 10-12 tracks featuring an undisclosed guest appearance that Stick Figure describes as one of their favorites! The album is being recorded at the home studio of Great Stone Studios in Oakland, CA. As of this writing there is no title assigned to the new record, but Woodruff informed The Pier that the album’s theme is similar to “Above The Storm,” which was released in October.

Following suit to its predecessor, “Easy Runway” can be described as uplifting and laid-back in nature, highlighted by atmospheric instrumentals with build-drop sequences showing up subtly throughout the track. The melody of the verses are addicting, and lyrics echo the sentiment of positivity from “Above The Storm” with verses such as “So look and you shall find / leave the past behind / have a little faith / everything’ll be just fine.” Fire up the track below and hear for yourself!
