Strung Out’s Jason Cruz Drops “Low Rider” Video

“Low Rider” is the second single from his outlaw folk project. Jason Cruz and Howl and their upcoming new album Wolves.

“The song ‘Low Rider’ is one of my favorite songs on the record. I felt this song really breaks new ground for the band and has this kinda Americana goth vibe,” said Jason Cruz about the track. “It’s a glimpse into a new kinda sound for me. I call it a ‘red room’ song; kinda Twin Peaks, sexy, very groovin’, very chill, but yet razor sharp.”

Rooted in Americana and dark psychedelic murderfolk, Jason Cruz and Howl flickers like late-night television noir, high on mescaline and American promises. The group’s new album Wolves is a masterclass in storytelling as the songs drift through the air like cigarette smoke and old country radio, shifting gears through Americana, folk, and dark psychedelics as it blurs the lines between genres.
