Sublime Launches “Sublime Me Gusta,” a Touring Festival Built on Reggae, Punk, Hip-Hop & West Coast Spirit

California staple, Sublime is officially taking their legacy on the road—and not just with a tour. The Long Beach legends have announced “Sublime Me Gusta”, their first-ever traveling music festival, kicking off with its first date on May 9, 2026, at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, Texas. It’s a bold new chapter for a band that has made quite the comeback in the last few years. Now they’re creating an entire festival series dedicated to the sonic crossroads Sublime helped define decades ago: reggae, punk rock, hip-hop swagger, ska grit, and Southern California sunburned energy. But this isn’t simply a nostalgia trip. This is a new era for Sublime—and they’rebuilding a festival to match it.

The name for the fest comes from one of Sublime’s most enduring lines—“Me gusta mi reggae, me gusta punk rock,” from 1996’s “Caress Me Down”—a lyric that captured the band’s open-armed philosophy long before cross-genre festivals became the norm in the later 90s and ’00s. With “Sublime Me Gusta”, that ethos becomes the blueprint: multi-genre stages, all-day community vibes, art, food, sun, and an atmosphere built around both rebellion and connection. Tickets start at $89.99 at MeGustaFest.com.

Slightly Stoopid Joins the Inaugural Lineup

To set the tone, Sublime is bringing out longtime collaborators and American reggae scene architects Slightly Stoopid for “Me Gusta’s” debut in Fort Worth. Two of the most influential bands in punk–reggae–rock sharing one festival stage in spots around the country? It’s the kind of pairing fans have dreamed about for years. The rest of the lineup is still under wraps, but Sublime and co-producers Brew Ha Ha Productions promise a mix of artists who reflect the band’s ethos— their laid-back groove, punk attitude, and a celebration of the alternative West Coast culture Sublime helped build. The festival will also host a dedicated craft beer experience from Noon to 3 PM (a $15.99 add-on), showcasing regional and national breweries curated by the team at Brew Ha Ha.

“Sublime Me Gusta” is planned as a multi-city run, with the next stop slated for June 27, 2026 in Oregon (full venue details coming soon). Each date will be its own full-day community hang—music, local vendors, art, food, and exclusive Sublime goodies and activities that nod to their roots while spotlighting the band’s renewed momentum. “It’s always been our dream to put on a festival for our friends and family,” says frontman Jakob Nowell, whose presence has energized a new era for the group. “It’s punk rock, hip hop, reggae, surf—true West Coast alternative culture kept alive by generations of fans. This is our era now and we got nothing but love for everyone coming with us.”

Cameron Collins of Brew Ha Ha Productions, who lives in the DFW area, says Fort Worth was an easy choice: “Sublime and Slightly Stoopid are two of the most influential bands of our generation. Fort Worth is the perfect place to kick this off.”

The Band’s Biggest Year Yet

The announcement for “Sublime Me Gusta,” arrives at a moment when Sublime is experiencing one of the most meaningful resurgences in their history. Following their record-breaking 2025 comeback, a string of sold-out shows, came new music like “Ensenada,” their breakout single that spent seven consecutive weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart—the longest run at the top of the format by any artist in 2025. It also set a new record for the longest gap between #1 hits on the chart since “What I Got” dominated on radio in 1996. The momentum continues into 2026. Sublime will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their self-titled album with two nights at Red Rocks (April 17 & 18) and release their highly anticipated new album, Till The Sun Explodes, early in 2026 — their first full-length project of new material since reuniting with Jakob Nowell.

All of that momentum sets the stage for “Sublime Me Gusta”, a traveling celebration built around everything the band has represented for more than three decades: community, rebellion, genre-blurring sound, and the unshakeable spirit of Southern California counterculture. With Sublime as the anchor and Slightly Stoopid supporting the inaugural date, the festival becomes more than just a show — it’s a new cultural gathering point, designed to bring together generations of fans who have kept the Sublime ethos alive. Now, with a hit single, a new album, a milestone anniversary, and a festival of their own, Sublime are shaping a future that feels both new and unmistakably theirs. This festival is the next step—a traveling celebration of everything Sublime has ever stood for.
