The Expendables Announce New Record and Tour

After much anticipation, The Expendables have just announced the initial details behind their upcoming record, along with releasing a FREE download of the albums first single a long with their upcoming tour dates & details!SandInTheSky

Titled Sand In The Sky, The Expendables’ new record will be the band’s 6th full length studio album. Following 2012’s acoustic hits album, Gone Soft, and 2010’s Prove It, The Expendables will release their latest full-length January 13th, 2015. Along with this announcement, the band has revealed the cover art illustrated by Santa Cruz artist Kevin Walsh as well as an iTunes pre-sale start date on Nov. 13th, 2014

The Expendables have also released a FREE Download and a lyrical video for the first single off the new record. Titled “Starry Night” enjoy the track and video below.

Back in June, the band made posts from the studio officially affirming work on a new album, but has been a while since fans have heard many new tunes. Over the past four years, the band has had plenty of time to write new music. The band has been working out new material, tracks like the mellow “Music Moves Me,” “Black Heart” and the heavier “Antisocial.” Recently, during their live set the band has been adding “Up All Night” and the now released single, Starry Night. Soon, fans will be able to finally hear everything The Expendables have been working towards.

On January 13th fans will be able to hear the full studio record, then starting January 24th, fans will be able to hear these new tracks live when The Expendables take their music around the nation. The Winter Blackout 2015 has been scheduled and it is coming to over 35 cities between the end of January into March. Joining The Expendables this year will be Ballyhoo! on select dates (1/29-3/7) and Fortunate Youth on select dates (1/23-1/28, 3/12-3/15). Katastro will be playing the entire tour! A few more dates will be announced soon and tickets will go on sale November 7th.
