On August 20th, The Green will be will releasing their highly anticipated new album via Easy Star Records. Today, they’ve released 2 new singles from that album with roots track “Take Me On”, paired with the up-tempo “Something About It”. Both singles will be digitally available via iTunes, Amazon etc.
The new songs reflect the diversity of The Green’s music, while showcasing the four lead vocalists. These tracks barely scratch the surface of the new album, which features a number of songs destined for extensive radio play, and others firmly establishing the band as one of the musical leaders of the scene.
The single comes out at the start of a very busy spring for The Green, which sees them embarking on their biggest headlining tour yet, aptly named the “Take Me On Tour.” The run begins with an appearance at the California Roots Festival in Monterey, CA, and includes other festival stops at Wakarusa, Reggae In The Desert, and the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival. It also features three dates in late June with Damian and Stephen Marley, along with a number of headlining shows in California, Oregon, Colorado, and elsewhere.
