As the 2012 year concludes, one of the five nominated bands for Live Artist of the Year, is already planning an equally successful 2013 touring year. Hawaii’s The Green will be back on the road starting February 1st in New Zealand, but there are plenty of dates in the United States!
After playing the supporting role for some of the biggest names along the reggae-rock circuit last year like SOJA and Rebelution, The Green will play the headlining role on their upcoming winter tour. The supporting act for The Green will be the New Kingston Band for New York City. New Kingston is typically the backing band for Bermuda’s Collie Buddz while on tour, but this leg will feature the smooth jazz infused reggae rhythms of New Kingston to get the night started off right for The Green.
In 2012, The Green began headlining their first national tour ever, dubbed the “Liars & Lovers” Tour. The tour, beginning in February, will also be called the “Liars & Lovers” Tour, hitting secondary markets throughout the western states. If you live in a metropolitan city with a major music scene, you might have to venture off on a road trip to catch The Green live and in person.
During the month long tour, two dates while on the road will include shows with Iration on their Heatseekers Tour. The two Hawaiian natives will link up following Valentine’s Day in Stateline, Nevada and the following night in Petaluma, Califonia at the Phoenix Theater.
