Hermosa Beach, CA based rock-reggae outfit Tomorrows Bad Seeds has returned in 2017 with a brand new single that they’ve today with “No Matter What.” This single comes ahead of a highly anticipated new release from the South Bay rockstars.
It’s been since the June 2012 release of their third album, The Great Escape, that we’ve seen a full length album under the name Tomorrow’s Bad Seeds. The group has released a handful of singles over the years including 2015’s “Throwback” featuring Garret Douglas and released their song “War Letter” to be paired with a music video that was a tribute to military troops and the heartache they endure being away from loved one’s while stationed overseas. The video features footage of real military troops returning home that was authorized by the Department of Defense.
As for their new single “No Matter What,” vocalist Moises Juarez tells The Pier:
“For this track I was fortunate enough to work producer Chaz Toney at his studio in Carson, CA and we were able to tap into that classic Tomorrows Bad Seeds feel-good sound. The song is about embracing Independence and keeping a positive mind in this crazy world. When the rat race is so competitive we wanted to acknowledge the hard working women out there who work two jobs to finish school and launch new careers or just to chase their dreams. Everyone just needs to remind themselves that it’s okay to let loose every once and a while and have fun with it! And remember don’t let any one steal ya sunshine ‘No Matter What!'”
Tomorrows Bad Seeds are expected to drop a new record in 2017 via Island Empire Records as the group has been in production on the record for well over a year. When we last checked in with Tomorrows Bad Seeds, they were hoping for a 2016 release on a record that saw production by Sublime’s Marshall Goodman. After re-working some tracks and nailing down their line-up, the group is moving forward as this new single, “No Matter What” is the first of more to come — Listen to the song below and find Tomorrows Bad Seeds on their Spring ‘Spread The Seed’ tour with dates you can also find below that begin April 20th.
