Tunnel Vision’s Hayden Hanson Talks “This Is My Life,” Studio Sessions with DENM & SoCal Synergy

Fresh off the release of their latest single “This Is My Life,” Tunnel Vision frontman Hayden Hanson sat down for an interview to share the story behind the new track and give fans a deeper look into the band’s creative world.

Produced by and featuring DENM, “This Is My Life” marks a significant milestone for Tunnel Vision as they continue to evolve their signature blend of surf, punk, and reggae rock. Hayden revealed that the track had been in the works for a while and came together effortlessly once DENM jumped on board. The two had just wrapped a tour together, making the collaboration feel like a natural progression of their musical chemistry.

Recorded at Hanson’s Tube Town studio in San Clemente, the session felt more like a hangout than a high-pressure production. “We were just kicking it,” Hayden said. “It all happened naturally.” Despite their different production styles—Hayden more of a hands-on engineer, DENM leaning into vibe-heavy producer instincts—they synced up perfectly, with their SoCal roots tying it all together.

The bond between them goes beyond music. “It felt like we grew up together,” Hayden shared, reflecting on their first meeting. “He felt like a San Clemente kid, and I felt like one of his Long Beach homies.”

The track has already earned spins on 91X and KROQ and is set to be part of a larger project mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Cameron Webb (Alkaline Trio, Sum 41, P.O.D.). If this single is any indication, what’s coming next from Tunnel Vision is going to hit hard.

Adding to the momentum, Tunnel Vision is set to take the stage at Cali Vibes this Sunday—bringing their gritty coastal energy to one of the biggest reggae festivals on the West Coast. Expect a high-energy set and maybe even a live taste of “This Is My Life” with DENM in the mix.
