ZIGGY MARLEY’S MORE FAMILY TIME ALBUM IS THE BEST ALBUM FOR KIDS AND ADULTS ALIKE

Back in 2020, Ziggy Marley released the deluxe vinyl edition of his classic Family Time album aptly titled More Family Time. Written 11 years after the first edition, More Family Time has became an instant family classic record and features amazing collabs with notibles like Ben Harper, Sheryl Crow, Lisa Loeb, Angelique Kidjo, Alanis Morissette and more.

The album was written in 6 months during COVID-19 lockdowns. Like most of us Ziggy was spending his new found time at home and focusing on his family. In an interview with Ziggy and Larson Sutton at Relix, Ziggy recalled that it was during that time that he realized that the children needed more attention. Ziggy told Relix, “We need some lightness because the darkness can be overpowering to the youths and the family. There’s a lot of anxiety, and stress, and issues we have to solve. I’m here to bring balance.”

The full album is fantastic family fun that sets itself apart from other children albums with a mix of upbeat groove-oriented hits that the full family can enjoy. The collabs add to the accessibility of the songs and the lyrics are fun and easy for kids to enjoy.

It became a full family affair with Ziggy including his kids Judah Marley, Gideon Marley, Abraham Marley on the fun ditty “Wonderful People”

Also included in the new release is Ziggy’s rendition and one of my family’s favorites the famous Kenyan song “Jambo” featuring the renowned Angelique Kidjo.
