September is now becoming synonymous with May as the producers of the California Roots Music & Arts Festival is making their 2nd trip to the east coast for the Carolina Sessions in North Carolina. The line-up is complete & tickets are available. See what Cali-Roots has planned for North Carolina on Sept 13th & 14th 2014…
Held at Battleship Park overlooking downtown Wilmington, NC & the Cape Fear River, this year’s Carolina Sessions include 19 total bands, playing over 2 days between 2 stages. That is up from just a 1 day festival last September in Carolina. Drawing over 4500 attendees last October, the festival was nominated for Encore Magazines Best of Wilmington list in the category of “Best Things To Happen in Wilmington in 2013”.
Encore Magazine will likely be discussing the Carolina Sessions again, especially with an impress 19 group line up, including headliners Rebelution & Matisyahu, each promoting new albums this year. Matisyahu stated, “This festival has always been great to me on the west coast…looking forward to taking it east with them.”

Of the 19 groups, a surprise appearance that we’re excited to check out include The Hip Abduction. These guys seem to fall under the radar and their debut album is one of the better recent debut albums we’ve heard! Read our Album Review for their release by clicking HERE!.
We’re stoked to see San Diego, CA legends, The B Side Players making the trip & The Expendables have been flirting with the release of their new record, currently rumored to drop this fall & we hope it will line up with the festival.
Many fans are still recovering from Cali-Roots this past May in Monterey, CA. The Pier was in attendance hosting our 3rd straight Artist-to-Fan Meet N Greets & we hope to be hosting the Meet N Greet party in Carolina, this September. Tickets are on sale & as we learned this last May, the earlier you purchase your tickets, the better (& cheaper). Advance 2 day passes are going for $120, while Early Bird VIP 2 Day Passes are going for $190. VIP 2 Day Passes, in addition to access to the event, also include VIP Side-Stage viewing with VIP Lounge & light refreshments a long with Event t-shirt, 2 drink tickets per day (4 total) and private restrooms.
